Author Bio

Akasha Krehbiel

Author

Born on May 4th, 1989 in Arcata, California, Akasha writes from the heart of a life shaped by resilience, movement, and deep familial bonds. Raised across California, Oregon, and Colorado, her childhood was nomadic and emotionally layered—anchored by the steadfast love of her grandmother, who became mother, guide, and protector from ages five to sixteen.

At sixteen, Akasha faced the devastating loss of her father to violence, a moment that marked both rupture and reunion—reconnecting with her birth mother that same year. These formative experiences—of grief, reconnection, and the quiet strength of chosen family—infuse her storytelling with raw emotional truth and mythic undertones.

Now a mother of eight and married, Akasha writes with the wisdom of lived experience and the tenderness of someone who has rebuilt home many times over. Her writing blends mythic undertones with emotionally charged realism, often exploring trauma, healing, and the sacred feminine.

Her forthcoming novel, The Shattered Lives We Lead, is a haunting and intimate exploration of trauma, survival, and the fragile beauty of human connection—continuing her commitment to emotionally resonant storytelling that speaks to the soul.

Beyond her fiction, Akasha works for a company that publishes and creates interactive journals designed to support recovering addicts, survivors of trauma and abuse, and individuals navigating juvenile and adult probation and incarceration. Her professional work reflects the same compassion and depth found in her writing.

Through every page, Akasha seeks to build bridges between pain and possibility, inviting readers to find beauty in their own broken places.
