Emerging from the quiet: threads from the forest floor

A Soft Apology & A Quiet Return

Before anything else, I want to acknowledge my absence.

My Facebook page has been unpublished for a few months, and I know that sudden quiet can feel like a door closing. That was never my intention.

The truth is simple and human: my family has been moving through a difficult season, and I needed to step back to tend to what was fragile and urgent at home. I’m sorry for the silence, and I’m grateful for your patience while I found my footing again.

I’m returning now with steadier hands and a clearer breath.

January has always felt like a threshold month—quiet, slow, and honest. This year, it arrived like a reminder that healing doesn’t follow a schedule. It moves the way roots do: unseen, steady, and necessary.

After a season of deep introspection, we at Akasha Fiction Studio are gently unfurling, much like the first shoots of spring. This edition of "Threads from the Forest Floor" marks a return, a renewal, and an invitation to walk with us as new stories awaken. Join us in this journey of creative rebirth.

These past months have taught me the difference between disappearing and resting.

I didn’t disappear.

I rested.

I tended.

I listened.

And now I’m ready to weave again.

 Thank You for Waiting

Thank you for staying, even in the quiet.

Thank you for giving me space to be human.

Thank you for meeting me here again, at the edge of a new year.

The forest floor teaches us that everything strong begins in the quiet.

I’m grateful to be weaving with you again.

The quiet season: a time for unseen growth

Wintering, for us, was not an absence but a profound period of gestation. Beneath the surface, ideas brewed, characters whispered, and plots took root in the fertile darkness. It was a necessary pause, a time to replenish the creative wellspring and listen to the whispers beneath the soil.

Spring's gentle call: new stories awakening

Now, as the frost recedes and the days lengthen, we feel the invigorating pulse of creation returning. The seeds planted in the quiet are beginning to sprout. We're excited to share the fresh perspectives, enchanting narratives, and transformative insights that have emerged from this period of deep rest and reflection.

Weaving new tales, together
